Alaska, and live life as a true Alaskan commercial fisherman! Catch, process, and bring back home 20lbs of Wild Alaskan Salmon with you! Visit us on the Kenai Peninsula, the home of the world’s largest king salmon, and experience the best of
Alaska just as we do.
Your Alaskan trip includes:
6 night stay (SUN 1pm check-in / SAT 11 am checkout) in
Kasilof,
Alaska in beautiful beach-bluff cabins overlooking the commercial fishing site where your fish will be coming from! Listen to the sounds of the ocean from your bed and enjoy magnificent views of the ocean with a beautiful mountain range featuring the famous Mt Redoubt along with Mt Iliamna, Mt Augustine, and Mt Spur.
Go out on the fishing boats and pick fish along side
Alaska Commercial Fishermen. (We will get you’re your fishing license for you!) Up to 6 people can be taken out per day on the fishing boats to experience commercial fishing of our prized Wild Alaskan Salmon! DISCLAIMER: We are completely dependant on State of
Alaska Fish & Game to let us know when we can and cannot fish. Fish & Game does an excellent job of governing the bountiful
Alaska fishery and provides us fishing periods when commercial fisherman can put their nets in the water. We cannot guarantee that every person will be able to fish based on the F&G factor, as well as the strength of the fishing runs, weather, and our own discretion which will determine when we should fish.
Participate in the daily life of a commercial fisherman. Get up early and stay up late, learn to set a net and when to check the nets for fish. Experience picking fish out at sea, become an expert and identify different species of wild salmon, learn to drive a skiff, mend fishing nets, and jump in the slime line to gut your own fish. You’ll learn how to fillet a fish like an expert and see our flash-freezing process in action. See and experience first hand, (along side real Alaskan commercial fisherman), how Wild Alaskan Salmon is caught, processed, and shipped out to our customers from start to finish!
TAKE HOME 20lbs of wild Alaskan salmon PER PERSON! Our processing plant is on site where you will witness what all goes into the harvesting of wild Alaskan salmon. Take home your 20lbs of wild Alaskan salmon canned, smoked, fresh-cut fillets, or flash-frozen - It's up to you!
Daily continental breakfasts and lunches will be provided. Fresh bread and pastries for the long fishind days from the Moose is Loose, our favorite local bakery, will fast become a daily highlight.
Enjoy the day’s catch of wild Alaskan salmon during our SALMON BAKE dinner! One night per week we will be hosting a fantastic salmon dinner with all the trimmings – included in the cost of your stay. By the way, the view just doesn't get any better than this!
Daily tours into surrounding
Alaska towns and villages. Maps will be given to you along with a lunch voucher to redeem at our recommended restaurant/cafe in the town your visiting. Detailed itineraries of how best to plan your day will be handed out. Your own transportation is required but we will be there to point you to all the best things we think you just can’t miss!
P.S. Evening meals, besides our famous Salmon Bake, are on your own. This is your opportunity to mix in with the locals! We'll give you a list of terrific restaurants to choose from or you can stock your own 'fridge and eat in. Each cabin has a deck with a beautiful view and grill to help you enjoy those long Alaskan summer nights.

Other things you need to know:
Your vacation price includes only what is listed above and once you show up to our cabin site in Kasilof
Alaska. All transportation to and from
Alaska is on your own, including any airfare or car rental to get to us in Kasilof.
Price is $1500 per person, 4 people per cabin or $6000 per cabin. Cabin is sold as one unit, so even if there are just two people are filling the cabin, it is still $6000. Deposit of $1500 is due upon booking, $3000 total due by March 15th and balance due by May 15th, 2010. We WILL charge your credit card on those dates unless you contact us with an alternate payment option.
After you arrive in
Anchorage, we recommend renting a car and taking the beautiful 3 hr drive from
Anchorage down to our cabins in Kasilof. An alternative option is to fly into Kenai from
Anchorage (about a 20 minute flight) and rent a car to drive 20 minutes to Kasilof BUT you'd be missing a beautiful drive!
Commercial Fisherman must be 16 years and older to get onto the fishing boats.
NO alcohol 24 hours before commercial fishing is permitted according to
Alaska
State Law. Wild Alaskan Salmon Company is given full right to determine whether a person is able to fish.
And, once again, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to commercial fish but chances are good as this is during our typical fishing season!
Additional add-ons are available like sport fishing for salmon on the Kenai or Kasilof river, Halibut fishing in Homer, day cruises out of Seward or Homer, - awesome stuff like that. We will send you info on more options available to you once you book and help you with any questions you may have.
